1. The truth about affiliate marketing and making money online fast
Let me get the record straight...making money as an affiliate marketer
is not a get rick quick scheme. You will be able to make a few hundred
dollars per month to a few thousands, but this will take a lot of
work.
Every
successful people in this business learned the rope, built their own
online and learned how to drive traffic to their affiliate links. The
most difficult part is making your first commission. Believe me, once
you look at your bank account and see that you've made your first sale,
everything else will become easy.
Where to start?
The first thing you need to do is finding a profitable niche.
Many beginners make their first mistake right here. They choose a
niche they have absolutely no interest in. Then, they start researching
for their keywords, write articles on the topic, and finally decide to
build their affiliate website (or their blog). The problem is
that affiliate marketing has changed a lot over the years, and today,
you can't just create a boring web page with a couple of affiliate
links and make sales. Thin affiliate sites don't last long.
It
is much easier to create a site in a niche that you enjoy. You will
never feel like you are working, plus since you know the topic, you
will be able to actually help people in the niche and give them what
they want. Later on, you may be able to create your own product in the
niche.
You
will need one week (if you are really fast and have several hours per
day to work on your business) to more than one month to set up your
affiliate marketing business properly. Whenever you find someone
telling you that his software will make you $293,330.74 by next month,
just run, run as fast as you can (or just leave the web page...)

Now that you know that building a real affiliate business will actually
take some work, and a couple of weeks, here is how you too can create a
full time income from the Internet.
Before you start, ask yourself: Why do I want to create this online
business? This is important because you will have something that
motivate you to go ahead. Many people will answer that they are doing
this to make money, but let me tell you something... making money is
not a motivation in itself. Making money is more like a reward that you
get because you helped other people to get what they want.
Then, find a niche where people are actually buying information
products online. For example, golfers will buy everything that can help
them to improve their golf swing. They will buy coaching, training,
information products, and even go to seminars.
Decide if you want to promote physical goods are digital products. This
is important for the choice of your niche. While almost everything buy
physical products, in some niche, they will not invest in an ebook or
in a dvd or coaching program.
I recommend starting with digital products because it's the easiest way
to get started. In fact, in most of the affiliate networks like
clickbank, you don't even need a website to start. You can get started
right away with a free blogger blog. Plus people buy information
products...think about Amazon and the kindle. People buy the kindle
because they read a lot of ebooks.
My preferred niche are "desperate buyers" nowadays. In this recession,
many people chose to stop spending and buying things they don't really
want. People who have embarrassing problems will always buy. When you
are an affiliate you are a middlemen. You give people what they need to
feel better, and you make some money in the process.
I can't stress enough that being an affiliate means that you want to
help people get what they want. It's really important that you
understand that because if you try to push products in front of your
prospect, you won't make it in this business. Sure, you are here to
make money and I'm with you. But if you really help people to have a
better life, you will make more money than the average affiliate.
Once you have a niche with hungry buyers, you will need to create your
own site. Back in the days, I would recommend to create a html site,
but today, it's better and easier to build a wordpress blog. Wordpress
is amazing for affiliate marketing.
It's pretty simple to create an affiliate site with wordpress.
The next step is to select a good affiliate program, and drive traffic
to your wordpress blog. This is where you make money. The more traffic
you drive to your blog, the more money you will make.
There are two types of traffic generation sources. It can be either
free or paid traffic. Many people will tell you that free traffic is
better. Others will tell you that paid traffic is better. The truth is
that you need all the traffic you can get, both free and paid. However,
you need a plan of action. If you chase all the traffic sources at the
same time, you will end up with no traffic. What you need to do is to
start with a single source and become an expert (or if you have the
money, you can outsource right away, but you need to know your affiliate marketing metrics
before you can outsource. By the way, once you build your first site
and it starts making money, you will be able to outsource to have it
run on autopilot.
This (above) is all you need to make money with your own affiliate business.
Now, there is a last "ingredient", the secret sauce. Let me tell you
something (you may already know that). All the information you need to
earn a full income from home with affiliate marketing is available for
free on the Internet. So why so many beginners fail to make money as an
affiliate? The answer is because there is too much information out
there. A lot of it is outdated, and for the other part, you can read
