4 Steps To Make More Money Online in 2010

Do you want to make MORE money in 2010?

Let me tell give the four letter word that will help you to make more money online next year.

Here is the word I promised: MORE.

“Help people MORE, Help MORE people, do MORE of what’s proven to work, and take MORE time away from your computer.”

Everybody know this word, but I am going to show you how to use this word to cash in in 2010.

Ask yourself: How much did you earn monthly in 2009?

Let’s say you earned $300 per month on average?

Here is what you need to do:

1. Stop

STOP everything you are doing and …

THINK …

You need to understand that if you are still at $300 per month, there is something that you need to change to go to the next level.

You are well on your way to earn $1000 per month, and then more than that because…

Obviously, you are doing something right.

This leads us to …

2. Plan

Whenever you start a new project, you should write down your plan. Your business plan is nothing complicated.

Having a plan is crucial for your online business.

In fact, if you don’t have a plan right now, you should stop WHATEVER you are doing RIGHT NOW and write your plan.

Just write down your slogan: “What do you want to accomplish online?”

Let’s say you are selling (or promoting) a “learn Spanish” software. If I was you, I’d just write on a simple physical paper:

Wait …

The wrong way to do it is: “I’ll get people to buy this software even if it doesn’t help them to speak Spanish because I’ll make money and this is the only important thing for me”

Well, I prefer this way:

“I want to help people to learn to speak Spanish because this will help them improve their lives”

It seems pretty simple, but by doing this, you are going to change your mindset, and people will feel that you really want to help them, and they’ll start to TRUST you.

Many newbies fail online because all they do is SELLING. It’s strange, and I don’t really know how, but people can FEEL (behind their screen) if you care about them or not.

It’s not really about selling, but about Helping others to get what they want.

Now that you wrote your slogan, how are you going to achieve it?

a. Will you do it alone?

Doing it alone is NOT the smart way of doing business online. Get other people to help you (outsourcing).

You can get people on Elance to do your “non money-making” job for $3 to $8 an hour.

b. What online advertising method will you use? How?

Online marketers like this word: TRAFFIC, FREE TRAFFIC. They like doing a lot of PPC, article marketing, Squidoo… while they don’t work on improving their conversions at every step of the sales process.

3. Is Traffic Better Than Conversion? or What?

I often hear people say: “I want traffic to my website”.

Do you see the mistake here?

Newbies don’t care if their website CONVERTS (into sales or subscribers). All they want is traffic! This is one of the MOST important reasons why you don’t make more money online.

It’s pretty crazy that newbies don’t talk (or even think) about conversions. ?But it’s not their fault, nobody tell them what to do after all (to know the real money making strategies in the right order, you need to get a mentor).

We’ll talk about conversion another time though. This is a very important subject that you can’t afford to avoid if you are serious about your Internet business.

The TRUTH about FREE TRAFFIC METHODS:

There is no such thing as free traffic. You are paying with YOUR time, that’s it.

Let me ask you a question? What is worth MORE for you? Time or Money? (I hope it’s time…).

But…

These traffic methods DO work, and you should use them.

The TRUTH about TRAFFIC.

You do not want to use only ONE source of traffic.

You NEED to use SEVERAL available sources of traffic, BUT with a good methodology and a plan… PLUS, you need to know your metrics (i.e. your numbers)

Let me give you 2 examples:

Example #1 (the Wrong way to do business online):

“I tried to make money with PPC, but I’ve lost $150 and made one sale of $37. I’ll never use ppc again”. or “I wrote and submitted 45 articles to EZA and only made $27, this sucks, it doesn’t work” or “I’ve made 2 sales from my articles! I’ll write articles day and night.”, etc.

Now let see …

Example #2 (the RIGHT way to do business online): I will get traffic to my offer (or lead capture page) from ppc, then with article marketing, then with press releases, then with blogs, then with web 20 sites.

In fact, traffic from several sources combined is the way to go.

To get example #2 to work even better, get others to help you. (ELance).

3. Improve

You need to earn more for doing less. How can you do this?

IMPROVE on what you are already doing.

Do you currently have a site?

If all you have is a free blog or squidoo lens, once you make money, invest in a domain and a web hosting.

If you have a website, TEST conversions. For 100 visitors, how many people do your most wanted action? 5%, 1%, 0.5%?

Numbers are going to help you improve your business by ten fold.

TRACK your marketing activities:

Example: last week, I registered and posted on various forums. In my sig file, I added a tracker link. Now, I’ll just test for several weeks, see what forums send me MORE leads and sales (note that I didn’t talk about traffic), and once I know what makes more the MORE dollar per visitor, I’ll outsource this and FOCUS on other projects.

4. list building

This is NOT Compulsory, but it helps you to earn MORE, and you should focus on building a list right from the start.

This is in a nutshell how the word MORE will help you in 2010 and beyond.

Here is a recap:

2. Think about what you’ve accomplished
3. Improve your marketing (your existing assets – websites, ebook version 2)
4. Focus on conversions
4. Only get traffic proven to convert
5. Outsource
6. Relax yourself
7. Believe in your abilities to become an Internet Hero (important)

And the most important of all: HELP your market to get what they want (of course, you don’t want to give everything for FREE, but make them sure to let them KNOW that you deliver and can help you. That’ s where you make more money online).

    Good post! Setting realistic goals is also very important.Every year I make a “road map” for my self with goals I need to achieve by a specific date.I write the goals down on paper and keep the paper above my computer screen.It is simple, but very effective.

    Don’t forget: goals are nothing without taking massive action.

    And a mistake I see a lot of people make is to have unrealistic goals when they are starting out.

    Before you make $10,000.00 per month, try to make $1,000.00!
